Crowns, Bridges & Dentures Explained

Dental Crowns

A crown is a cap placed over a damaged, decayed, or root-canal treated tooth to restore its shape, strength, and appearance. We use metal-free ceramic and zirconia crowns for natural aesthetics.

Fixed Dental Bridges

A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring an artificial tooth (or teeth) to the natural teeth on either side. Fixed bridges restore function and prevent teeth from drifting.

Complete Dentures

Full removable dentures replacing all teeth in the upper or lower jaw. Modern complete dentures are comfortable, secure, and natural in appearance.

Flexible Partial Dentures

Lightweight, flexible nylon partial dentures that replace multiple missing teeth without metal clasps. Comfortable, natural-looking, and kind to gum tissue.

Implant-Supported Crowns

The most durable single tooth replacement β€” a porcelain crown placed on a titanium implant for a permanent, natural result.

Metal Partial Dentures

Cast metal framework partial dentures β€” durable, precise, and long-lasting for replacing multiple missing teeth with excellent stability.

Your Crown, Bridge & Denture Journey

Consultation & Examination

Dr. Neha evaluates your teeth, bite, gum health, and bone structure. X-rays are taken to assess suitability and plan the ideal restoration for your case.

Tooth Preparation

For crowns and bridges, the tooth is gently shaped under local anaesthesia to create space for the restoration. A temporary crown is placed to protect it during fabrication.

Impressions & Shade Matching

Precise impressions and photographs are taken. The shade is carefully matched to your natural teeth so the restoration looks completely natural.

Lab Fabrication

Your crown, bridge, or denture is crafted to exact specifications by a specialist dental laboratory β€” typically within 5–7 working days.

Fitting & Adjustment

The final restoration is tried in, checked for fit, bite, and aesthetics, then permanently cemented or issued. Minor adjustments are made until it feels perfectly natural.

Common Questions About Prosthetics

A well-made ceramic or zirconia crown lasts 10–15 years with proper oral hygiene and regular check-ups. Avoiding grinding, hard foods, and maintaining good dental hygiene maximises crown longevity.
Implants are the gold standard β€” they preserve bone and don't require grinding down adjacent teeth. Bridges are a good alternative when implants aren't suitable. Dr. Neha will recommend the best option based on your individual situation.
Modern zirconia crowns are extremely strong β€” strong enough for back teeth β€” while looking completely natural. They are our preferred choice for most patients today.
A dental crown typically requires 2 appointments β€” one for tooth preparation and impressions, and a second (usually 7–10 days later) to fit the final crown. A temporary crown protects the tooth in between visits.
